The point of a backup

Not just stored. Retrievable.

A backup gives you another place to start after a failed drive, accidental deletion, or compromised device. The right approach depends on what matters most to you.

01

Know what’s being copied

Start with the photos, records, projects, and systems you’d miss most.

02

Keep a separate copy

Choose a setup with copies that aren’t dependent on one working device or account.

03

Have someone to call

If files go missing, our local team can help identify and restore an available copy.

Coverage options

What do you need to back up?

We can discuss backup for computers, cloud accounts, and network storage. Custom cloud, local, and network setups are quoted separately from the monthly plans below.

Computers

Windows and Mac files on the devices you rely on.

Cloud accounts

Tell us what happened.

A computer stopped working, a folder disappeared, or a service changed unexpectedly. We’ll start there.

Step 02 / Locate

Check the copies available.

We look at the configured backups and available restore points to understand what can be recovered.

Step 03 / Restore

Bring back what we can.

We help restore usable files or systems. Timing and completeness depend on the available backup and the situation.

Good to know

Backup questions, answered.

Have a different question? We’re easy to reach.

How much does data backup cost?

PC Ninja Backup starts at $15/month for 500 GB, with a one-time $15 setup fee and one device per subscription. There is no long-term contract. Cloud, local/NAS, and hybrid configurations are quoted individually; ask us what is covered by your proposed setup.

Do I need a backup if I already use Google Drive or OneDrive?

Cloud storage and sync help you access current files, but changes and deletions may sync across devices. A separate backup strategy can retain earlier copies to recover from, depending on its configuration and retention settings.

What is the difference between cloud backup and local backup?

Cloud backup keeps copies off-site. Local backup keeps copies on-premises, which may be convenient for some restores. A hybrid configuration uses both. We can help choose an approach based on your data, budget, and recovery needs.

Can PC Ninja set up backup for my small business?

Yes. We can discuss backup for workstations, servers, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices for businesses in Berks County and beyond. Availability and pricing for each configuration are confirmed in a quote.

What happens if my computer crashes — can you restore my files?

Contact PC Ninja and we can help assess the problem and restore available files from a usable backup. What can be recovered and how long it takes depend on the backups available, the size of the data, and the condition of the device.
